Mike Rizzo is an editor and filmmaker who studied at The School of Visual Arts. He created the “Bay Rizz” comedy-satire web series with his brother Jay Liquori. Rizzo would lampoon unsuspecting locals and interview the community on important trending topics. The NY Daily News called him & his crew the “Borats of Brooklyn”.
This received great local buzz and various news outlets talked about it. These films were showcased in film festivals all over the country, along with a plethora of music videos and other short films that he edited. His film Some Guys Are Bigger Than Others won best comedy at the New York Downtown Film Fest.
Currently Rizzo is a commercial editor at Mackcut in NYC. He edits TV commercials for clients such as Little Caesars, Priceline, Snickers, PBS, Klondike Bar, Reese’s, Bud Light, Mountain Dew and more, honing in on comedy dialogue.
Most notably he earned recognition on editing the teasers and web film for the Bud Light “Up For Whatever” Super Bowl campaign in 2014. He has worked with well known directors like Jeff Tremaine (Jackass, Bad Grandpa), Dan Powell (Inside Amy Schumer, The Break with Michelle Wolf), and all the top agencies.
He continues to work with his lifelong partner Bonz, to create comedies and film. Rizzo also has some new films set to release later this year.
